instant respecting the application of the "runch runar-
al Tariff to tinned salmon from British Columbic, when
transhipped at Hongkong, I am directed by Secretary Sir
F. Grey to inform you that this question has already
been raised by Pessro. Timpson, Roberts and Company of
Liverpool, and that it has been thoroughly examined.
It appears, however, thut in view of the existing regu-
lations in France no useful result would ensue from of-
ficial roprusentations and Sir Edward Crey thereforu
